1. Our Risk management and Safety Procedures are overseen by Paddle Scotland / Paddle UK SUP National Trainer - our team are responsible for training and assessing instructors on behalf of the national governing body for paddlesports.

2. Expert ⁠Technical Advice is continually completed by industry leading experts

3. ⁠Guides and Staff are fully vetted, assessed and monitored to stringent requirements, whilst being friendly, supportive and passionate about giving you the best experience.

4. ⁠ Expert local knowledge of the venues used and the affects weather and rainfall/river levels can have, with a daily meeting to ensure venues are safe and appropriate

5. ⁠Transparent cancellation policy if the conditions mean safety will be at all compromised

OUR 5 POINT SAFETY CHECK FOR EVERY TRIP

1. Venue checks - weather, wind, rainfall and river levels are checked with both forecasts and observations, to ensure it is completely safe.

 

2. ⁠Kit checks - full visual check to ensure all the equipment is working properly

 

3. ⁠Group checks - everyone has completed a booking form declaring any medical information, and received a full safety briefing, so you are comfortable, know what to expect, and how we will be keeping you safe throughout.

 

4. ⁠Guide checks - guides must be comfortable and confident that safety and enjoyment can be maintained throughout the whole session.

 

5. ⁠Base Safety Contact checks - every session will have an experienced base contact who will speak with guides before and after the session, continually monitoring safety externally.  Guides will also be carrying a GPS tracker.
